InferPheno Privacy Policy

Privacy and Data Use Terms

Last Updated: [June 30, 2026]

This Privacy Policy explains how ProXplor PTE. LTD. (“ProXplor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and manages personal data, profile information, health-related information, user-submitted images, and digital interaction data when users access or use the InferPheno application, website, services, reports, assessments, and related digital products (“InferPheno” or the “Services”).

By using InferPheno, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of information as described below.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use InferPheno, we may collect the following categories of information.

1.1 Account and Profile Information

We may collect information provided by users when creating, updating, or using a profile, including:

  • Display name;

  • Gender;

  • Date of birth;

  • City or region of long-term residence;

  • Phone number;

  • Email address.

We collect this information only where it is relevant to account setup, user identification, personalization, health intelligence analysis, service delivery, user support, security, or compliance.

1.2 Date of Birth and Age-Related Information

We collect date of birth to understand the user’s age, age group, and age-related health context.

Where relevant, and based on user-provided profile information, date of birth may also help InferPheno understand age-related environmental and climate context associated with the user’s birth year. This helps InferPheno support more context-aware health-state interpretation and active health management.

InferPheno does not use date of birth to make clinical diagnoses or to replace professional medical judgment.

1.3 City or Region of Long-Term Residence

We collect the user’s city or region of long-term residence to understand the user’s current long-term living environment.

This may include general natural environment, climate characteristics, regional lifestyle context, and environmental background factors relevant to health-state understanding, digital phenotype analysis, and active health management.

InferPheno does not collect GPS-level precise location for this purpose unless separately disclosed and authorized. City or region of long-term residence is used as contextual information and is not intended to track the user’s live location.

1.4 User-Submitted Images

InferPheno may ask users to submit specific images required for its visual phenotype analysis and health intelligence features, including:

  • Front-facing facial image;

  • Side-facing facial image;

  • Front-facing tongue image.

These images are used to support visual phenotype analysis, tongue-related visual assessment, functional-state understanding, digital phenotype analysis, reassessment-based health intelligence, and active health management.

InferPheno uses these images to analyze visible health-related features, visual patterns, and phenotype-related signals. These images help the system understand observable external characteristics that may be relevant to health-state interpretation, functional-state understanding, recovery-capacity evaluation, and longitudinal reassessment.

InferPheno does not use user-submitted facial images for identity verification, face recognition, biometric identification, surveillance, advertising tracking, or cross-app tracking.

InferPheno does not create or use facial recognition templates, facial identity profiles, biometric identifiers, or biometric templates from user-submitted images.

InferPheno does not use tongue images for identity verification, biometric identification, advertising tracking, or cross-app tracking.

Users should only upload images that are necessary for InferPheno’s intended health intelligence features and should avoid uploading images of other individuals unless they have the appropriate authorization.

1.5 Health-Related Information

InferPheno may collect, process, or generate health-related information to support active health management, digital phenotype analysis, functional-state understanding, health assessment, and reassessment-based health intelligence.

This may include user-submitted information, profile information, user-submitted images, assessment inputs, digital interaction data, health-related questionnaires, report outputs, analysis results, reassessment records, and other information required to provide InferPheno features.

Health-related information and health-related visual data may be considered sensitive personal data in certain jurisdictions and will be handled with additional care.

1.6 Device, Technical, and Usage Information

We may collect technical and usage information, including device type, operating system, app version, language settings, log data, feature usage, crash information, diagnostics, and performance data.

This information helps us improve product reliability, app performance, security, user experience, and service quality.

1.7 Communications

If you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, message content, and any information you choose to provide.

2. Why We Collect User Images

InferPheno is designed around smartphone-powered digital phenotype analysis and active health management. Certain visual inputs are necessary for the Services to generate relevant health intelligence outputs.

We request the front-facing facial image, side-facing facial image, and front-facing tongue image because these images may provide different visual perspectives for health-state understanding:

  • The front-facing facial image helps capture visible facial characteristics, symmetry, complexion-related signals, and observable phenotype patterns;

  • The side-facing facial image helps provide an additional angle for visible structural and phenotype-related observation;

  • The front-facing tongue image helps support tongue-related visual assessment, visible oral-tongue characteristics, and reassessment-based observation.

Together, these images support a more complete visual phenotype analysis workflow and help InferPheno provide more context-aware, structured, and reassessment-ready health intelligence.

These images are not used to identify who the user is. They are used to support health-related visual analysis within InferPheno’s intended functionality.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

  • To create, maintain, and manage user profiles;

  • To provide InferPheno features, assessments, reports, and reassessment workflows;

  • To process user-submitted images for visual phenotype analysis and health intelligence features;

  • To understand age-related and long-term residence-related contextual factors;

  • To support health-state understanding, digital phenotype analysis, active health management, and personalized health intelligence;

  • To understand general natural environment, climate characteristics, lifestyle context, and environmental background factors relevant to health intelligence analysis;

  • To improve product functionality, user experience, reliability, safety, security, and performance;

  • To provide customer support and respond to user inquiries;

  • To conduct internal research, model improvement, product development, and service optimization;

  • To comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and platform requirements.

4. Health and Medical Boundary

InferPheno is designed to support health intelligence, functional-state interpretation, digital phenotype analysis, active health management, wellness optimization, and decision-support workflows.

InferPheno is not intended to replace licensed medical professionals, clinical diagnosis, emergency care, or prescribed medical treatment.

InferPheno does not provide medical diagnosis, disease confirmation, emergency medical advice, or prescription treatment.

Image-based analysis within InferPheno is intended to support health intelligence and visual phenotype analysis only. It should not be interpreted as a medical diagnosis, disease screening result, emergency warning, or substitute for professional medical examination.

Where potential medical risks, urgent symptoms, clinically significant conditions, or medical concerns are identified, users should seek guidance from qualified healthcare professionals.

For customized cooperation with clinical institutions, medical institutions, or service scenarios involving clinical services, relevant partners are responsible for completing the required medical, data, privacy, professional licensing, and other applicable compliance procedures according to their jurisdiction, business model, and service scope.

This boundary allows InferPheno and ProXplor to support users, organizations, institutions, and enterprise partners within appropriate health, wellness, professional, institutional, and enterprise contexts.

6. Camera, Photo Library, and Image Upload Permissions

InferPheno may request access to the device camera or photo library only where necessary for users to take, upload, or submit the images required for InferPheno’s intended health intelligence features.

Camera or photo library access is used only for user-selected image capture or upload. InferPheno does not access unrelated photos without user action or permission.

Users may manage camera and photo library permissions through their device settings.

If a user does not grant camera or photo library access, certain visual phenotype analysis and health intelligence features may not be available.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell users’ personal data, health-related information, or user-submitted images.

We may share information only when necessary and appropriate, including:

10. International Data Transfers

As ProXplor operates internationally, user information may be processed, stored, or transferred in countries or regions outside the user’s place of residence, subject to applicable laws and appropriate data protection safeguards.

By using InferPheno, you understand that your information may be transferred, stored, or processed internationally where necessary to provide, secure, operate, and improve the Services.
